Orangeburg, SC - The SC State University Board of Trustees has announced that Dr. George E. Cooper has unanimously been selected to be SC State’s 10th President. Dr. Cooper will begin his duties on July 1, 2008.

     
 

Ithaca, NY - Ithaca College announced that Greg Woodward has been named dean of its founding school, the School of Music. A member of the music faculty since 1984, Woodward has served since 2003 as dean of Ithaca College’s Division of Graduate and Professional Studies.

Lewis is currently completing a two-year interim appointment as dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y. Delaware, OH - Ohio Wesleyan University today announced that Rockwell "Rock" Jones, Ph.D., executive vice president and dean of advancement at Hendrix College in Conway, Ark., has been elected as Ohio Wesleyan's 16th president. Jones, 49, will assume the Ohio Wesleyan presidency in July 2008.

   
 

Dickinson, ND - The State Board of Higher Education named Richard J. McCallum, Ph.D., president of Dickinson State University in Dickinson, N.D. on December 5, 2007. McCallum is vice president for academic affairs at Missouri Southern State University, Joplin, Mo.

   
 

Asheville, NC - UNC Asheville Chancellor Anne Ponder will make a formal recommendation to name Jane K. Fernandes the University's new Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the UNC Asheville Board of Trustees meeting on December 15. 

   
 

Seattle, WA - After an extensive national search, Dr. Isiaah Crawford has been appointed to position of Provost for Seattle University (SU), effective July 1, 2008. Since 2004, Crawford has served as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Loyola University Chicago where he is also a faculty member in the psychology department.

   
 

Reno, NV - The Nevada Board of Regents unanimously approved the selection of Dr. Maurizio Trevisan as executive vice chancellor and chief executive officer of the University of Nevada Health Sciences System.

Houghton, MI - Michigan Technological University has named Lesley M. Lovett-Doust as its new provost and vice president for academic affairs. She comes to Michigan Tech from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, where she has been dean of science and environmental studies and a professor of biology.

   
 
Lindsborg, KS - Edward F. Leonard III has been Bethany College’s new president by the board of directors. He officially will begin his duties at the college later this summer.   Leonard currently is vice president for college advancement at Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio.
   
 

Oberlin, OH - Marvin Krislov has been named the 14th president of Oberlin College. He will take office on July 1, 2007, at the conclusion of Nancy Dye’s 13th year as Oberlin’s president, and will make the transition to Oberlin during the months of July and August. He will be on campus full time beginning August 6.

   
 

Alexandria, VA – The Board of Trustees of the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia (VTS) announced that Dr. Ian Markham, Dean of Hartford Seminary and Professor of Theology and Ethics, has accepted the invitation to become the Fourteenth Dean and President of Virginia Seminary.
