Laird Desmond joined Academic Search in 2002 after successful years of recruiting at several prominent search firms. She brings over two decades of experience in executive recruitment, predominantly in higher education and the non-profit sector, to Academic Search. Laird has assisted searches for every major executive level position at institutions ranging from small liberal arts colleges to state-wide systems. Laird earned her Bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of William and Mary in 1983.
