Alana Cassidy is responsible for reacting to and managing the proposals sent to higher education associations and institutions. She also leads the marketing outreach and strategic initiatives for Academic Search, Inc. Furthermore, she interacts with the firm’s consultants on a regular basis and is the lead contact for potential clients.
Andrea Cowsert is responsible for assisting the lead consultants with research functions, preparing written documents for searches, and providing assistance to the lead consultants during committee meetings and neutral site interviews.
Andrea Warren Hamos is Vice President for Consulting Operations and Senior Consultant at Academic Search. Prior to her appointment, Dr. Hamos served for five years as Associate Director, and subsequently Interim Director, of the American Council on Education’s (ACE)Emerging Leaders Group and the ACE Fellows Program.
Dr. Ann Die Hasselmo is President Emerita of the American Academic Leadership Institute (AALI) in Washington, D.C., having served as the founding president of AALI.
Caroline Whitson joined Academic Search in 2012. She has served as a senior consultant to committees in several searches for presidents and vice presidents for academic affairs at both public and private universities.
Charles Kupchella has led strategic planning efforts at four different institutions as well as led or served on dozens of committees that have conducted successful searches for senior academic positions.
Christopher N. Butler, an Associate Consultant, is responsible for assisting the lead consultants with research functions, preparing written documents for searches, recruiting and evaluation of applicants, and providing assistance to the lead consultants during committee meetings and neutral site interviews.
Disa Mason has assisted more than twenty searches, including those for presidents, senior officers, and deans of business, law, and education.
Dr. Eric Richtmyer joined Academic Search in 2014. Prior to joining the firm Dr. Richtmyer taught at the Maryland Institute College of Art, Colorado Mesa University, Concordia University-Saint Paul, and the University of Minnesota.
Erin E. Monroe, Associate Consultant, joined our team in February 2016, and she brings policy and communication experience working for the U.S.-China Policy Foundation, Wisconsin Department of Justice, Middle Ground Journal, and Washington English Center. She attended The College of St. Scholastica and earned a Bachelor of Arts dual degree in Chinese and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jacqueline Woods joined Academic Search as a senior consultant in 2012. She has assisted multiple search committees on conducting both public and private sector cabinet level searches (deans to presidents) for community colleges, four year public colleges and universities and for higher education associations.
Dr. Jerry Israel is the former president of the University of Indianapolis and Morningside College and a veteran higher education leader with a wide array of expertise.
Dr. Jessica Kozloff joined Academic Search in 2008 as a senior consultant and was appointed president in 2011. Since joining Academic Search, she has served as Lead Consultant for over 50 presidential, cabinet level and dean searches.
John B. Hicks is a veteran university administrator with a long record of guiding highly successful searches for public and private institutions nationwide.
Kelly Frazier, Director of Technology Services, maintains continuous development of the Academic Search, Inc. website and creates all confidential search-committee websites, ensuring that applicant materials are uploaded in a timely manner.

Lisa C. Rosenberg joins Academic Search as an Associate Consultant. Lisa spent 14 years at the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) in various roles, including Director of Research and Associate Director for Consulting Services. Prior to her work at AACRAO, she was a Program Associate for the American Council on Education. Her career began at the University of Pittsburgh as Assistant to the Director for the University Center for International Studies. She has a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and an M.Ed.
Mac A. Stewart recently retired from the position of special assistant to the president for diversity and vice provost at The Ohio State University, following a long career of senior level administrative positions in higher education.
Marcie Pecora has assisted a wide array of searches, from traditional vice presidential searches to more specialized searches for information technology and international programs officers.
Maya Ranchod Kirkhope has worked in higher education for the past twenty years and specifically with presidents and governing boards for the past ten years.
Melanie Atallah is currently in her senior year at Stockton University. She is majoring in business and will be joining us for the fall semester through The Washington Center as an intern.
Ms. Suttenfield is an accomplished, nationally regarded higher education executive who brings diverse experience and insights based on nearly 25 years as a chief financial officer at several leading public and private research universities and the nation’s foremost museum complex.
Dr. R. Stanton Hales joined Academic Search as senior consultant in 2007, and in his consulting work he has focused on searches at independent institutions.
Dr. Thomas Fitch became vice president of Academic Search, Inc. in 2012. He has more than 20 years of experience in recruiting and conducting searches, which he leverages to bring his clients sound judgment, credibility, and a focus on partnership with institutional leaders and search committees.
Shally Wise, an Associate Consultant, is responsible for assisting the lead consultants with research functions as well as other administrative related aspects of the search process.

Mr. Howard joined Academic Search as Vice President and Senior Consultant in June of 2015, after serving most recently as a Senior Vice Chancellor for the State University of New York system administration for four years.
