Candidate Evaluation

 

The pace of the search escalates as the committee identifies and interviews its most qualified candidates. The committee focuses on the strongest candidates and reference checks become more precise.   We collect candidate data quickly and effectively. Because our Academic Search consultants have developed prominent national reputations, their calls are returned, and their questions are answered.   Your consultant will:

 

  • Develop an effective screening process;
  • Design protocols for thorough reference checks and interviews;
  • Recommend proven procedures for preliminary and on-campus, interviews;
  • Recommend a process for gathering feedback from all who meet the finalist(s);
  • Arrange for professional background checks on finalists,
  • Maintain contact with finalists to gauge and enhance their interest in the position, and
  • Assist with consensus recommendations to the appointing officer according to initial charge to the committee.


Upon the selection of the candidate of choice, the work of the consultant changes to that of a facilitator and advisor as the hiring officer works through the negotiation and appointment of the finalist.
