Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota Appoints Rev. James P. Burns

Andrea Warren Hamos, Rick Artman, and Penny Gibbons are pleased to announce that The Rev. James P. Burns has been named the 14th president of Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Father Burns will officially begin his presidency Monday, July 9. He is currently an associate professor in the Counseling Psychology Department in the Lynch School of Education at Boston College.

The College of Saint Rose Appoints Steven Ralston

Andrea Warren Hamos and Penny Gibbons are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Steven Ralston as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the College of Saint Rose, beginning July 1, 2018. Dr. Ralston is currently the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. He previously served as the Dean of the School of Communication and the Arts at Marist College in Poughkeepsie.

University of Mount Olive Appoints David Poole

Maya Kirkhope and Lisa Rosenberg want to share the good news that David Poole has been appointed President of the University of Mount Olive.  He will take office July 1. Dr. Poole has over thirty six years’ experience in the business and education environment. Since 2010, he has served as Vice President for Online and Professional Studies and Associate Professor of Leadership and Management at California Baptist University.

CSUCI Appoints Richard Yao

Ann Die Hasselmo and Chris Butler are pleased to share the appointment of Dr. Richard Yao as the next Vice President for Student Affairs at California State University Channel Islands. Dr. Yao is a licensed clinical psychologist and his career in higher education consists of experience as both a faculty member and student affairs professional. Dr. Yao is the chief student affairs officer at Nevada State College (NSC) and currently serves as the founding Dean of Students.

University of the West Appoints Otto Chang

Stan Hales and Shally Wise are pleased to announce Dr. Otto Chang as the next President of University of the West. Dr. Chang is currently Shaffer Professor of Accounting at Indiana University Purdue University Ft. Wayne and was Dean of the School of Business there for six years. Prior to Indiana University Purdue University, Dr. Chang was an adjunct Professor at University of the West for nine years during a full-time appointment at Cal State San Bernardino.

AICUNJ/ICFNJ Appoints Lou Manzione

Jay Lemons, Jack Ohle, and Disa Mason are pleased to share that the joint boards of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in New Jersey (AICUNJ) and the Independent College Fund of New Jersey (ICFNJ) announced that Dr. Lou Manzione will assume the role of president of the organizations in July 2018.  Dr. Manzione has been the dean of the College of Engineering, Technology and Architecture at the University of Hartford for the past 13 years.

Heartland Community College Appoints Keith Cornille

Jerry Israel and Shally Wise are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Keith Cornille as the new President of Heartland Community College. Dr. Cornille comes from Madison Area Technical College where he is currently the Executive Vice President/Chief Student Services Officer.  He started in 2006 at Madison Area Technical College as an Executive Dean of Learner Development and moved through the ranks as the Vice President for Student Development and Senior Vice President for Student Development before becoming the Executive Vice President.

University of North Texas at Dallas Appoints Felecia Epps

Wanda Bigham, William Howard, and Marcie Pecora are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the Dean of the College of Law search at the University of North Texas at Dallas, with the appointment of Felecia Epps. The former dean of Florida A&M University College of Law, she will replace Judge Royal Furgeson, the College’s founding dean. Epps has some unique and vast experience, including service in the United States Marine Corps, and over 30 years of experience in the law profession.

Southeast Missouri State University Appoints Alberto Dávila

Jessica Kozloff and Shally Wise are delighted to announce that Dr. Alberto Dávila of Edinburg, Texas, professor of economics and lead associate dean for administration, graduate studies and research with the Robert C. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), has been named dean of the Donald L. Harrison College of Business at Southeast Missouri State University. He will  begin his new role June 1.
